The team were originally called The Enfields when they were formed by current captain Derek Marvin and his neighbours from Enfield Road in Evercreech in 1975.From 1975 until its closure in January 2005 the team were based at The Brewers Arms in Evercreech.
With the advent of The Bionic Man, Power was installed in the team by changing the name to The Bionic Enfields as it is today. The team played in the First Division of the Castle Cary Skittles League for many seasons. However they were relegated to the Second Division at the end of the 2003/2004 season.
The 2004/2005 Season proved more kind as the team won the Second Division Championship at the first attempt and competed in the top division again in the 2005/2006 Season. The current season 2006/2007 will also be contested in the top division.
The Bionic Enfields are now supporting the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance. Recently a cheque in the sum of £150 was handed over to the charity.
